Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026. This page covers how projects, payment, and plans work between you and ATX Web Works.
This is a general terms template written for a small web design business — it isn't legal advice. Before publishing this page, it's worth having a lawyer glance over it, especially the refund and liability sections, so it actually matches how you run things and holds up if it's ever tested.
ATX Web Works offers two ways to work together:
Which plan applies to a given project is confirmed in writing (email or the project intake form) before payment is taken.
All payments are processed securely online through Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored by ATX Web Works. The One-Time Build fee and the Build + Care upfront fee are due before work begins; Build + Care monthly fees are billed automatically on a recurring basis until the plan is cancelled.
ATX Web Works targets delivery of a live website within 24 hours of payment being received, provided the client has supplied the content needed to build it — photos, a service list, and a logo if one exists — at the time payment is made. Turnaround may take longer if content is incomplete, delayed, or requires multiple rounds of revision before approval. This timeline is a target, not a penalty-backed guarantee, unless otherwise agreed in writing for a specific project. Separately, appearing in Google search results after launch can take up to an additional 48 hours; this depends on Google's own crawling and indexing process and is outside ATX Web Works' direct control, for either plan.
Before a site is considered final, the client reviews a working draft and may request reasonable changes to bring it in line with what was discussed at intake. Once a One-Time Build site is live, further changes are billed as a separate one-off request. Build + Care clients receive ongoing updates as part of their monthly plan, scaled to their tier.
Where a domain is included, ATX Web Works will register it in the client's name or connect an existing domain the client already owns. Domain registrars bill their own separate annual renewal fee directly to the domain's owner — this is outside ATX Web Works' control and is not covered by either plan. Sites are typically deployed on Netlify or a similar static hosting provider; hosting account access and credentials belong to the client.
Once paid in full, the website and its content belong to the client. ATX Web Works retains the right to reference completed projects (business name, site link, and a description of the work) as portfolio examples, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
Because work typically begins within 24 hours of payment, refund requests are handled case by case. See the Refund Policy page for the plain-language, question-and-answer version. In summary:
Timelines depend on the client providing accurate business information and usable content (photos, service descriptions, logo) promptly. Delays in providing content will delay delivery beyond the stated turnaround window.
ATX Web Works builds and delivers the website as agreed but is not responsible for indirect losses arising from site downtime, third-party hosting or domain provider issues, or a client's own changes made after handoff. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the project.
